Amazing hotel with beautiful views and great accommodations

Beautiful property with amazing staff. Our stay was very enjoyable. We loved the breakfast and staff were very helpful with recommendations. We loved Kefalonia and we will definitely stay here again.

Perfect in every way - comfort, excellent staff, great food and drink selection and amazing views.

The location was perfect - beautiful views of the coast and easy access to a beautiful beach which we later found listed on tours from the north of the island. The staff were charming, very professional and always helpful. The selection of food and drink was excellent too. Our flight had been delayed so our arrival was much later than expected but the warm greeting and complimentary glass of wine by the owner was really appreciated.

Possibly more places to sit in the shade when temperatures were high. But this is a minor issue.

What was the highlight of Leivatho Hotel Svoronata

Nice spot with a modern aesthetic that was what we were looking for away from crowds.

The place has a modern aesthetic which I really appreciated. Breakfast was great. The pool area was in a lovely setting. The location of the hotel is interesting, about a 5 minute walk downhill to a Blue Star beach with 2 restaurants on the way. Parking was easy and they have a lending library of books. Sufficient gym to get a run or cycle in. Also has a ping pong table. Make sure you have a car to get around unless you know you want to just stay put. George the manager greeted us upon our arrival and bought us a round of drinks. Nice touch! This place is also away from a crowded strip of hotels and restaurants that are on the north side of the airport.

It was really hot during our stay so they could've air conditioned the reception/breakfast area which was a decent place to hang out since it had a bar. The only option to be in airconditioning was in our room. When it's over 40 degrees Celsius it would've been nice to go somewhere to read our just be "out" without having to retire to the room.

very friendly staff, excellent room, nice pool and very good breakfast

Piped music in restaurant and around pool too loud and intrusive Sign on reception on arrival say credit cards will be only taken in traveler's own currency (i.e. not Euros) very annoying - not prepared to pay such a surcharge - so didn't bother using hotel bar or restaurant

Overall a very relaxing start to our Kefalonia trip

The hotel was very stylish and architecturally designed to fit in well with the landscape but more importantly the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had dinner there which was good and the breakfast was a buffet style arrangement that catered for our tastes well, the hotel was also a short walk down to a nice beach.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location

We love the style of the hotel, with rooms situated through beautiful gardens. The rooms are spacious and modern. The pool and reception area have a wonderful view out to sea and out towards Zante. Most days there is a lovely afternoon breeze.

Not much to dislike here. We came 5 years ago and our only negative observation was that some of the nice touches at breakfast are no longer there. Prime example being Kefalonian honey in a jar being replaced by sachets of bland, watery honey. Fresh fruit was also poor. Melon was rubbery and overripe. At a taverna a couple of hundred metres away we were given amazing fresh watermelon- so it seems an oversight that the hotel can't do the same. Those little touches would take it from a very good stay to something special - and wouldn't cost a great deal

I thoroughly enjoyed my island stay.

Loved having breakfast buffet every morning and location close to beach without being too busy.

Showers flooded easily so had to be mindful to only put shower on partial pressure.

Everything about this place was really lovely, the rooms, the gardens, attention to detail, the pool, gorgeous breakfasts, the art works on display, welcome drinks, local restaurants just down the road by the beach etc. and all the staff were really friendly and smiling and super helpful.

It was all very good, no complaints!

Room cleaned every day, amazing view, staff attentive, very close to the beach,2 taverns next to the beach. To bad we received some very bad news from home and we couldn't enjoyed so much but if we will be back to Kefalonia, we will choose the same hotel.

All in all I think I would come back again

Position is exceptional, they ahave a nice view from the common areas and the first floor rooms, it's far from the downtown mess and it is very close to a nice beach (Leivatho) and to a coupla good restaurant too, other nice beaches are not so far, Breakfast is good, they serve good local stuff, as an example bougatza spanakopita and tyropita an other local sweets, but also more standard stuff sweet and salty. Rooms are spacious and well furnished, kitchen part is a bit small but functional. Staff is friendly and efficient.

This time we were not so lucky with air conditioning a little difficult to fine tune, water has lot of minerals so toilets and faucets need some maintenance. In the last day of stay wifi didn't perform so well and unfortunately the position is such that a foreign phone may have connection issues especially with data, but this last one is not an hotel fault. What disturbed us more was the status of the road to the parking lot, exactly with the some holes we found last year ... probably bigger ... a truck of gravel may improve it a lot.

Loved the ethos of the hotel . Environmentally aware and great architectural thinking. You did not feel like you were in a hotel. The restaurant team were efficient and friendly. Maria and her team were supportive and helpful. Marina thank you for the warm welcome and looking after me. Good spot and lovely tavernas by a sweet beach. You do need a car if you want t to venture out.

Unusual but perfect small hotel with a relaxed vibe

The rooms were great. Really unusual but our family room was perfect...almost two separate bedrooms, a kitchenette, a bathroom and lots of outside space (with tables and chairs and a washing line!). Our bed was huge and super comfortable and the air conditioning kept the room cool. The entrance to our room was along a secluded path so even though we had rooms either side and other above us it felt really private. The buildings are only two floors and blend in to the gardens. It's very well done. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The kids (and us) loved the pool and the garden with lovely views over the sea. The hotel is a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach*, a superb restaurant overlooking the sea and a vineyard called Sarris (all of which we would highly recommend). We loved that it's not a big hotel, small enough to feel like the staff get to know you and the pool area is never crowded so you can always get a lounger. *We went in mid August and were very lucky to see baby turtles (hatchlings) hatch from their eggs and walk across the sand to the sea. Incredible!
